Clinical Nutrition

Proper nutrition is essential for good health and longevity.  This involves making sure that you get the optimal amounts of macronutrients and micronutrients in your diet.  As we learn more about how individual nutrients can help prevent and treat disease we are also learning how whole foods may allow nutrients to work together. For example, antioxidants like beta carotene, selenium, vitamin E, and vitamin C, when consumed in foods, appear to protect against the development of heart disease, cancer, and other chronic degenerative diseases.

Having a well-rounded diet is only part of the picture. Although there are guidelines that can be followed in general, we are all different and have different dietary requirements.  Our practitioners spend the necessary time with you to get an understanding of what nutrients you may be lacking or deficient in, and work with you to establish goals and help you reach them.  Our aim is to help you establish healthy eating habits that you can maintain for the rest of your life.
