Your ears are organs for hearing and balance. The ear canal is connected to the sinuses and throat and is vulnerable to infestation of different substances that affect our levels of energy and well-being.
Sound waves enter the outer ear canal and strike the eardrum causing it to vibrate. If the ear is clogged with excess earwax or toxins, then this flow is disturbed or slowed.
Ear coning is effective because all the passages in the head are interconnected, allowing the cones to gently drain the entire system. The smoke and gentle vacuum of coning cleans these structures, allowing for improved hearing, taste, smell and balance.
History
This ancient energy healing method to remedy common ear ailments was
used in Egypt, China, Tibet, and several other cultures. These cultures
considered coning a spiritual practice for clearing the mind and
senses. They claimed it cleared the mind and body so you could meditate
and open up your sensitivity.
How does it work?
Ear Cones are hollow cones made from a special formula of beeswax,
pure unbleached cotton mesh, and natural ingredients. Each candle
is approximately 3/4" in
diameter and 10" long, with a burning time of 15-18 minutes.
In a coning session you lie on your back on a massage table. The taper end of the cone is inserted into an adaptor and then gently placed in the ear. The other end of the cone is lit. Heat from the low burning flame creates a vacuum inside the cone, drawing out fluid and toxins from old infections. The beeswax also gives off negative ions that speed healing.
To maintain balance, even if you are experiencing problems with only one ear, this process is repeated until two cones have been used in each ear.
A light manual lymph drainage massage is done on the face, as well as a basic reflexology on the ears stimulating the whole body system to start healing and detoxing.
What happens after a session?
Most find it very pleasant and relaxing. Typically, there is a temporary feeling
of low energy due to the body's exertion to heal itself - but what will happen
after a session differs, as this depends on each person's unique body.
Why try it?
We only usually become aware of our ears when we have a problem,
which leads us to a visit to the doctor who can syringe our ears
or offer us antibiotics. Ear coning is a fantastic alternative remedy
that can maintain and restore a healthy system.
Here is how coning has helped these people:
'I had a severe sinus infection that would fill
up my ears and give me major headaches. I felt a lot better after the
first treatment - no headache and I could breathe out of my nose.' T.C.
'My six year old has had an ear infection at least 3 times a year since she was born. Shannon did a couple of treatments and recommended changes in her diet to help prevent - my daughter is much happier and healthier now.' D.M.
'I had a candida problem that made my ears itch and burn. After two treatments my symptoms were almost gone.' F.F.
'I had noticeable improvement in my hearing and things taste a lot better now too.' G.R.
Who can Benefit from Ear Coning?
Unless you have a perforated eardrum, have tubes, are presently on antibiotics
or have recently had ear, nose, throat or sinus surgery, you can benefit
from ear coning.
Children who are prone to infections can often benefit from one or two treatments. The elderly, and especially people who wear hearing aids that can promote debris build-up, usually experience noticeable improvement.
The warmth and stimulation of energy produced by the low flame influences your whole system, including the reflex points on your ear and the meridians of energy that pass by, carrying the benefits to your whole body. Coning softens and penetrates the tissues, lymph glands and circulatory system around the ears affecting our whole bodies -- bringing balance, harmony and vitality into your life.
