When you’re when in a rush to get out the door or headed on a long road trip trail mix with dried fruits and nuts are a great source of protein and can supply nutrients that people often have trouble fitting into their diet, such as antioxidants, fibre, and healthy fats.
Our Favourite Nut and Fruit Trail Mix Recipe
½ cup unsalted roasted pecan halves
2 cups air-popped unsalted popcorn
½ cup unsalted roasted walnut pieces
1⁄3 cup golden raisins
1⁄3 cup chopped dried apricots
¼ cup good-quality dark chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. unsalted pumpkin seeds

Greek yogurt is another fabulous snack that is high in calcium and protein. Choose an unsweetened variant, add some berries, and you’ve got yourself the perfect nutritious snack!
