Mary-Leah was born in Oakville and raised in Brantford, Ontario. After graduating from Assumption College School, Mary-Leah began her post-secondary academic career in the U.S.A. at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania on softball & academic scholarships. She studied biology and pre-medicine, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with academic & athletic honors.
She went on to earn her Master of Public Health (MPH) at Drexel University's School of Public Health in Philadelphia. Her focus was on health promotion & disease prevention, particularly around diabetes and HIV-prevention research.
Ultimately, Mary-Leah would find the perfect meld between medicine, public health, and preventative-focused health care through naturopathic medicine. This would bring her back to Canadian soil to attend the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), in Toronto.
Upon completion of the four-year Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program at CCNM (class 2011), Mary-Leah was delighted to accept a position as the 4th Naturopathic Doctor in Brantford's largest naturopathic medical clinic, Holistic Healing Arts Centre.
As a general family practitioner, Mary-Leah welcomes patients of all ages and with a range of health concerns, from pain management to prevention of chronic disease. Mary-Leah also enjoys working with local athletes and sports teams to maximize athletic performance and improve recovery times using natural means.
